  1. It is inconceivable that Pam doesn’t appreciate this great movie! It has EVERYTHING: romance, sword fights, suspense, humor, Billy Crystal, a happy ending, and R.O.U.S.’s! I have watched that movie at least 15 times—and it just keeps getting better.

  2. I am upset, but not surprised with miss Pam. I must admit that my mom actually does like this movie, so I find it crazy that miss Pam doesn’t agree.

  3. I feel the need to post a defense. I told Robert last night as we watched The Princess Bride for at least the 10th time that I feel like less of a person because I don’t like this movie. Everyone I know loves this movie and it makes every list of best chicks flicks too. I am a chick flick connoisseur and I can’t imagine how on earth Princess Bride qualifies as a chick flick. The only chickish thing about it is the title.

When Harry Met Sally is one of my all-time favorite movies, directed by Rob Reiner and starring Billy Crystal. Princess Bride is directed by Rob Reiner and has Billy Crystal in it, but just doesn’t do it for me. I like movies with quirky humor, with action, etc. but the combination of all of these in PB is just ick.

I want to like to movie really. Otherwise, I feel rather like a pariah. However, try as I might I just watch the screen as people chuckle and think “How lame. Maybe I’ll go take a nap.” So there! :-p

    Just kidding.
My wife isn’t really a fan either.
It’s been my experience that people who DON’T like the Princess Bride, feel that way because of the way people who DO like the Princess Bride act when they watch it.
    This I can understand.

    But no – I won’t shut up.
