there seems to be a little confusion concerning the scoring of the ncaa basketball tournament bracket. basically the confusion comes from sharon trying to say that we are tied because we both have the same number of games correct right now. not so fast my 11 point trailing friend. the bracket is determined by the score rather than the number of games right. this means that each winner of a game is worth a certain number of points. specifically each win in a round is worth a certain number of points PLUS the seed number of the team that win. this means that picking a lower seed to win ends up equally more points. wins in each of the rounds are worth the following:
since you add the seed number to the win points it means that a win from a lower seed gives you more points (which makes since because it is harder/luckier to pick a win from a lower seed). this is win i am presently beating sharon even though we have the same number of wins.
so quit your belly aching sharon and deal with the fact that even though you are from basketball country (the mid west) this southern boy is winning.
of course, i think you are about to kick my but in the elite eight
i just thought i would let all of you know that after the first weekend of the ncaa tourney i am kicking everyone’s butts. of course,, by bragging like this i have asurded myself that i wll now lose, but it’s a small price to pay to be able to briefly saying i am winning.
according to my parents (about the only two people who read this blog) i am not posting enough (ironically they are not posting at all but i’m not supposed to discuss that). so i guess i am going to start posting more.
if you are going to do the cbs sportsline ncaa basketball tournament bracket with some of us you need to get your bracket done before tomorrow at 11 p.m. if you haven’t received an invite just let me know and i’ll send you one. the more the merry.

is anyone interested in doing a basketball bracket for the ncaa basketball tournament? i’ll take the winner out for lunch at any restaurant that he/she wants to eat at that costs less than $20 for entrees. if you live outside of baton rouge and want to participate i’ll send you a gift card to the restaurant you desire. i always do one through cbs sportsline and therefore you would have to have a free account there to do a bracket.

yes i know it’s been awhile since i posted and i can’t promise that i will begin posting regularly (but i do hope to) but still i’m posting right now and that counts for something. here are the few things that i wanted to post:

it is raining here in baton rouge and therefore luke and i will be running at another time. i still have to run today but the race is postponed.
