when i was in high school dothan, alabama (my hometown) was declared one of ran mcnally’s fifty worst places to live in the u.s.
i have now gone full circle.
SIDE NOTE – my salsa came in second within the competition. they said it was good but it was too hot. i would have to agree that this batch was a little warmer than normal.

Robert – It’s obvious the judges were not from Texas. Hot is part of the judging. Gotta wonder where they got these judges. I know in LA (Lower Alabama) if it’s spicy it’s considered hot. It probably would have won first in Texas.

thanks mike – i agree salsa is supposed to be hot. i usually cool it down a little bit for the non-terrells and i didn’t really do that with this batch.
